The Art Walk – Liber Topia

A Walk along Artists’ Routes in the British Isles

Liber Topia – The Art Walk is a series of rural and urban walks following the routes of artists throughout Britain, exploring the relationship of the activity of art with the identity of the landscape – historically, visually, socially and politically.

The Art Walk will interview contemporary artists and art historians to contemplate and understand the artist’s work and ideas in the context of the landscape through an experience of visiting places where artists were inspired by nature.

Liber Topia is derived from the Greek meaning ‘The Book of Place’.

An urban art walk in central Birmingham will take place during the Still Walking festival in Birmingham, September 2016.
